Answers to your common questions

  • Can you hold a place before I apply?

    Properties can be placed on hold for a maximum of two weeks with a non-refundable deposit of $500. We do recommend that you view homes that you are interested in and have an approved application prior to putting down a holding deposit.
  • Do I pay first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?

    No. The first full month’s rent as well as a security deposit of 1.5 times the monthly rental amount is all that is due at lease signing.
  • How old do you have to be to apply?

    You must be 18 years or older to apply. All adults that will be living in the home are required to complete an application and provide supporting documentation.
  • Who needs a cosigner?

    A cosigner may be needed if:

    • You have not been at your job for more than 6 months
    • Your monthly income does not meet the required rate
    • Your past rental history is tarnished
  • You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?

    You can apply directly on our website or you can come into our office location.
  • How do I pay rent?

    Rent can be paid online via the TENANT PORTAL or you can come into our office location. Please note that AG Management does not accept credit cards, cash or personal checks. Rent can be paid electronically, by money order or cashier’s check.
  • I want to get a pet. What do I do?

    • Pets are conditional with a fee in our single family homes.  If you are a current tenant and are planning on getting a pet, please contact our office to review our pet policy.
    • Our multifamily homes and apartments are not pet friendly.
  • I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What do I do?

    You are legally bound to the lease for as long as it is active regardless of whether you are still living in the home or not. Once the current lease is up you are welcome to leave and your roommate is welcome to stay as long as they meet the rental requirements.
  • My lease expiration is coming and I want to go month to month. What do I do?

    Please contact our office at (248)335-7368 or tenant@m1pm.com to inform us of your intention to stay. Please note that per your lease your rental amount will automatically increase 10% as a month to month tenant on the first day of the month following lease expiration.
  • My lease expiration is coming and I want to resign another lease. What do I do?

    Please contact our office at (248)335-7368 to make arrangements to renew your lease.
  • My lease expiration is coming and I want to move out. What do I do?

    You must submit a 45-day notice in writing, once that is complete you will be contacted to do a pre-move out walk through with one of our property managers.
  • Who is responsible for paying for repairs & maintenance requests?

    Any maintenance issues that are NOT caused by your negligence or misuse will be repaired by AG Management Co. That being said Repair or damages caused by your negligence or misuse is your responsibility. In such cases, repairs will be made, but you will be charged for the cost of the labor and materials. Damages or plumbing stoppages caused by your negligence or misuse will be paid by you.
